We use the highest quality materials that comply with Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS standards). It is assembled by hand with particular attention to smooth opening/closing and ease of use. The grip is made of high-quality genuine leather that feels comfortable in your hand, and has just the right amount of elasticity to make it easy to grip and work comfortably. The longer you use it, the more it will fit in your hand, and with proper maintenance, you can use it for a long time. It is also laser engraved with "Kiwa Seisakujo".

[About material characteristics]
The material, carbon steel, is an alloy of iron and carbon.
Although it is a material with high strength and hardness, it may react with oxygen and moisture in the air and rust may appear on the tool surface.
*Even if there is some rust, there is no problem in using it.
[About handling and care]
In order to use it for a long time in clean condition, we recommend applying sewing machine oil or the like after use, wiping it with a soft cloth, and storing it in a dry environment. (It is coated with oil at the time of sale.)
During humid periods, it is recommended to put a desiccant (such as silica gel) inside the tool case.
*Please refrain from wiping with wet tissues, alcohol, etc., as removing surface oil may lead to rust.
[If rust appears]
Rust can be removed with waterproof paper. (no water required)
We recommend polishing in the order of #1200 (coarse) → #1500 (fine), but please adjust according to the degree of rust. After removing rust, apply sewing machine oil or the like after use and wipe with a soft cloth.
