Precautions when storing 50th anniversary original domestic tools in the tool case
alwaysKiwaseisakujoThank you for using our service.
We would like to introduce our 50th anniversary original domestic tools such as flat Yatko, round Yatko, and nippers to customers who use tool cases with mouthpieces.
The carbon steel used in domestic tools is a material with high strength and hardness, but it may react with oxygen and moisture in the air and cause rust to appear on the tool surface.
Due to the characteristics of the material, if you store the tool in a highly airtight tool case, please note that depending on the storage environment, moisture may accumulate inside and rust may form on the tool surface.

■ About domestic tools (common to flat Yatco, Maru Yatco, and nippers)
[About the characteristics of the material]
The material, carbon steel, is an alloy of iron and carbon. Although it is a material with high strength and hardness, it may react with oxygen and moisture in the air and rust may appear on the tool surface.
*Even if there is some rust, there is no problem in using it.
[About handling and care]
In order to keep it in good condition for a long time, we recommend applying sewing machine oil or the like after use, wiping it with a soft cloth, and storing it in a dry environment. (It is coated with oil at the time of sale.)
During humid periods, it is recommended to put a desiccant (such as silica gel) inside the tool case.
*Please refrain from wiping with wet tissues, alcohol, etc., as removing surface oil may lead to rust.
[If rust appears]
Rust can be removed with waterproof paper. (no water required)
We recommend polishing in the order of #1200 (coarse) → #1500 (fine), but please adjust according to the degree of rust. After removing rust, apply sewing machine oil or the like after use and wipe with a soft cloth.
■ About the tool case opening
[About handling]
Due to the highly airtight material and structure, moisture may accumulate in humid environments. When storing uncoated tools, we recommend adding a desiccant agent (such as silica gel) to the tool.
In order to continue to use the product comfortably, please be considerate of the storage environment and daily care.
