These are small square cut beads.
It is a bright yellow-green color.
The green color is due to the iron content. Peridot emits the same bright green light at night as during the day, so it was called the "emerald of the evening" by the Romans and the "gem of the sun" by the ancient Egyptians. It is also popular as the birthstone for August.
